The law states very clearly that you have to be 16 or over to get a piercing without your parent or guardian present. Although there is no lower limit for piercing we don't recommend anything bar ear lobe piercing for under 12's.
If you are 16 - 20 chances are that you will need to bring I.D with you, please don't be offended if you are asked for I.D as it is often hard for us to tell age based on looks alone. You will need to bring photographic I.D with you e.g a Young Scots Card, Passport or Driving Licence. Your photograph and date of birth must be on the same document, for this reason we can't accept birth certificates, work cards or bank cards as proof of age.
If you are under 16 you can bring a parent or guardian to the studio with you. Please remember that they will have to be a legal guardian as they have to sign a legal document before your piercing can take place. We can't accept letters or phone calls from your parent or guardian as we could be reading a letter from anyone or speaking to anyone.
If you are over 16 but have no I.D that would be suitable, your parent or guardian can still sign your consent form.
If you have any questions about I.D please do not hesitate to contact us on 01475 799700, or you can always pop in to speak to us!
